About The Campaign

Our story
This campaign was inspired by an experience from a loved one. When #ACT4 DRUG ABUSE witnessing the impact of drug misuse on that person. At the heartbreaking We were unable to help relative at that challenging time, but to sympathise with this individual even though the scars were visible.
What began as one story soon revealed a wider reality more young people are being affected by drugs, violence, mental health struggles, and overdose, often suffer in silence.
From this experience, we understand how many families are struggle with this. This where ACT4 DRUG ABUSE involvement started.
Our mission to aims to break that silence, end stigma through honest conversations, education, and prevention, before lives are lost.
Who is Drug Abuse?
Act 4 Drug abuse is a non-profit campaign to spread awareness, education and prevention in the UK and West Africa. Its advocates with African partnerships to tackle addiction, rehabilitation, and reintegration to reduce the harmful on drug abuse.
What is Drug abuse?
Drug misuse refers to the harmful or unsafe use of substances that can negatively impact physical health, mental well-being, and social life. AS young people brains are still developing, taking drug will not only affect their expansion but can also cause detrimental harm to their mental health.
This Examples: mood swings, anxiety, depression, and other severe mental health issues. Young people who misuse drugs are at higher risk of addiction and may experience permanent changes in their behaviour.
Why Youth Drug awarness matters
Young people are vulnerable to societal issues such as, peer pressure, trauma and mental health, lack of support, and even exposure to violence.
ACT4 DRUG ABUSE campaign is important for both adults and young people in the UK and West Africa.
By raising awareness and providing education, the campaign helps people understand the risks, recognise warning signs, and make safer choices.
